Beta – Scalp  (SOLUTION)

For scalp treatment (Psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis)

COMPOSITION:
Each 1ml Beta-Scalp contains 1.2mg Betamethasone Valerate (equivalent to 1mg/ml betamethasone base).

INDICATIONS:
Beta-Scalp is used in the treatment of inflammatory and pruritus in the scalp lesions which response to steroids treatment. Such as: Psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis.

USAGE:
A small quantity of Beta-Scalp should be applied to the scalp and rubbed in morning and night until improvement is noticeable. Then it may be possible to apply Beta-Scalp once a day or less frequently.

SIDE EFFECTS:
These effects have been recorded in some cases of the steroids therapy: Burning, irritation, dryness, pruritus, hypertrichosis, sensitivity.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Infection of the scalp, hypersensitivity to the steroids.

PRECAUTIONS:

• Beta-Scalp is for external use only.
• Care must be taken to keep Beta-Scalp away from the eyes.
• Long term continuous topical therapy should be avoided where possible, particularly in infants and children.
• Development of secondary infection requires antimicrobial therapy in addition to the corticosteroid therapy.

USE IN PREGNANCY:
It should not be used in pregnancy for a long term therapy or in a large amount.
