
Candi Cort (CREAM)
Skin Antifungal Treatment
COMPOSITION:
Clotrimazole 1%
Betamethasone dipropionate 0.064% (equivalent to Betamethasone Base 0.05%)
INDICATIONS:
Candi Cort Cream contains clotrimazole which is a broad spectrum antifungal, and betamethasone which has anti-inflammatory and antipruritic activity.
Candi Cort Cream is used in the treatment of:
- Trichophyton rubrum.
- Mentagrophytes.
- Epidermophyton floccosum.
- Microsporum canis.
- Candida albicans.
USAGE:
Apply Candi Cort cream as a thin layer twice daily for two weeks. Usually improvement occurs within the first week of treatment. In tinea pedies treatment should be last for 4 weeks, and improvement occurs within two weeks of treatment.
Relief of erythema and pruritus will show improvement.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Rarely Candi Cort Cream may cause burring, edema, pruritus.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Facial rosacea, acne vulgaris, peri-oral dermatitis and anal pruritus, bacterial infections.
PRECAUTIONS:
- Courses should be limited to 5 days if Candi-Cort Cream used on the face or mucosas in children.
- Long term continuous therapy or using occlusive dressing should be avoided.
USE IN PREGNANCY:
Candi-Cort Cream should not be used in pregnancy in large amounts or for prolonged periods.
